Evil Pumpkin update

Dear friends,

We have decided not to release the Evil Pumpkin this year. There are plenty of reasons why, and we are not going to sit here and drag you through all the details, but if you have been sticking around for the past few months, you already know the drill. The decision is final. We are scrapping this timeline to focus entirely on our 10th Anniversary model, set to launch in December 2027.

The preorder will run for a 10-day window. We'll cap it only if the volume of orders makes that necessary.

We are posting updates on the development of the project, sketches, and build logs on Patreon for those who are interested, and we will also be offering prebuilt units to both tiers of membership on release day as a way to say thank you to supporters.

If you are not gelling with the Patreon thing (join because AMCO means something to you, not to get something back) or not interested in detailed updates - it is ok - you can preorder a Pumpkin during the release window as usual. We will not be taking preorders before the release day though.

This unit is going to be the definitive edition, packing the absolute best features from every iteration of the Evil Pumpkin into one machine. It might end up as a completely standalone unit rather than a DS-1 with a sidecar (something we have been wrestling with since 2023), or we might build both if we feel ambitious. That is still up in the air.
