Mary Gorgias is a crossover between fuzz and distortion with a bendable octave and an active eq. Mary Gorgias is a low-production, through-hole, hand-built unit. Covers a variety of sounds: clean boost, overdrive, distortion, fuzz, octave fuzz. However, my preferred style for this pedal is doom and drone. APPLICATIONS: Bass Guitar: Ultra high gain distortion with active EQ. Blendable octave adds upper harmonics without losing the low end. Octave gain and internal trimpot add more gain to the octave stage and output stage respectively. Guitar: Covers a wide range of sounds due to EQ and controlled gain across various stages: clean boost, overdrive, distortion, fuzz, octave fuzz in one unit. NOS components. Synthesizers: Run oscillators through MG for hard clipping and octave textures. Mary Gorgias adds harmonic content and provides flexible EQ controls. Drum Machines: Distortion on electronic drums. Octave on snares. Active EQ handles low-end loss at high gain settings.
